FAQs

Is the training virtual?

All Cohort classes and meetings will be held on Zoom.

The times listed are for the Pacific time zone.

How many people are in a cohort?

Our typical cohort size is around 15.

Can we send more than one person?

Yes, we regularly have organizations register multiple people for a cohort. If you have a larger group (8+), contact us about running a private cohort for your team.

What is the time commitment?

The cohort will meet weekly for 3 hours of training for 7 weeks. In addition, there will be weekly readings and some homework for your capstone project.

What if I miss a session?

Life happens. We will record each training session. Only the current cohort will be able to view the recording. You’ll also have access to the recordings for a year, so you can go back and watch if you need a refresher.

What is the capstone project?

That capstone project is designed to put your newly acquired knowledge to work by completing a financial assessment of your organization. We’ll provide you with tools and templates to complete your project. If you are not currently at a nonprofit, we can help connect you with one to conduct the assessment.

Can I pay by check?

Yes, to pay by check. Simply email us at info@NPFLA.com and we will send you an invoice.

What if I can’t make the cohort?

Students withdrawing 30 days BEFORE the program begins are eligible for a full refund of all fees, less any processing fees (e.g., credit card fees). Withdrawing within 30 days of the start of class will be given credit to a future cohort, or your registration can be transferred to another individual.

There is no refund for withdrawals after the first day of class.
